Do I need MetaTrader 5?

Eventually, yes. The drills don't require it, but the live execution platform we teach is MT5. Module 5 covers the install.

MetaTrader 5 is the execution platform almost every regulated forex broker supports. If you ever want to trade live with the system the curriculum teaches, you'll want MT5 installed and connected to your broker. The interface is dated but the connection to broker pricing and order execution is industry standard.

You don't need it on day one. Modules 1 to 4 work entirely without MT5. Module 5 walks through the install, account connection, and the chart workspace we use. From module 6 onwards, having MT5 open in the background while you study makes the lessons easier to follow.

Why not just use TradingView for execution?

TradingView does support broker integrations, but the supported broker list is shorter than MT5's, and the live order panel has fewer features (no native partial-close, weaker bracket-order support). For execution, MT5 is still the durable answer for retail forex.
